About David Hibbs

I have been involved with various types of businesses since 1964. The simplest business was my first. I started a small yardwork business with two friends. We ended up working at 2 Motels in the Greece, NY area. My two friends left at the end of the season. I was hired at one of the motels. The most intricate position and the one most pertinent today was spending 18 years at IBM as a project manager. I also spent 5 years as a first level department manager. In between these two jobs, I learned several petinent business truths. Your business will fail if you do not practice the following skills: Customer Focus, resulting in high Customer Service numbers. Communication; written or spoken,must occur every moment of everyday to employees and customers. Teamwork is needed within the business to achieve customer satisfaction, employee cohesiveness and community commitment. On a personal level I have learned to always do your best at whatever job (greatest to worst) you are in. I promise that good things will occur if you do this. A second item I have found is you need to find something about the job to love. This may be your peers, doing what you want to do, or simply that you are working to meet financial goals you wish to achieve. So, where am I going with this? I am hoping I can use my experience, willingness to communicate to help others in business. Whether it is a business I own or whether I work as a Assistant to an Assistant something. I have a great deal of knowledge to share or to use as a trainer. The skills I have learned as a project manager, department manager, a best selling author, and 5 years as a Business Consultant can be mined for your benefit.
