About David Horton

Glenn is currently a Risk Architect at Financial Risk group. His responsibilities are evolving but include providing cloud expertise and architecture as well as customer project support. He previously led the High Performance Architecture delivery team in SAS Institute's US Professional Services. In addition to leading his team he has been the lead architect for the delivery of SAS solutions at many large banks, insurers, retailers and hospitality companies. His previous role was the lead architect for high performance analytics in the Financial Services Business Unit of Global Professional Services and Delivery at SAS institute. Previously he spent 21 years in SAS Research and Development as a manager and developer. He holds a US patent from his role as a development leader in SAS R&D. Glenn holds a M.S. in Computer Science from North Carolina State University. Specialties: Leading consultants and projects around software system architecture, specifically in the areas of distributed computing, high performance analytics, high availability and disaster recovery. Software development, specifically in the areas of distributed computing, communications and encryption.
