About David Huffman
I started working for Spec-Tech Industrial Electric in April 2005 for their Shipping and Receiving Department. There I was responsible for all of the shipments in and out of Spec-Tech as well as managing inventory and the returns from customer to vendor/manufactures. I took a huge interest in the product that I was seeing every day and so with the help of co-workers I learned what each product did, how it worked and what its function was. From there it filtered into building our custom control panels, where I taught myself how to read wiring schematics and edit CAD drawings. With the knowledge of how the product worked I was able to act as a second set of eyes to help locate any issue that there might have been. After excelling in all of those aspects I was given the opportunity to try out inside-sales. Like before, I showed lots of interest in sales and started excelling again. With the knowledge from before I was quickly moved into Technical Sales as well as custom control panel design for motor and liquid level controls. My current position is outside sales account manager. In summary, that’s who I am and I am not scared to learn or do anything. I am Certified for designing UL508A Industrial Control Panels, a UL Qualified Manufacturer Technical Representative and a Certified Eaton VFD Commissioner. I have completed training for IDEC and Unitronics HMI/PLC programming, Weintek USA HMI Easy Builder Pro programming, Eaton and Lovato smart relay programming and VFD programming. Skills: Purchasing, Customer Services, Inside-Sales, Technical Sales for Motor and Liquid level Controls, Inventory Management, Custom Panel Building, PLC Programming, AutoCAD Design.
