Background
About David Hume
To most people eyesight is a necessity for a successful life. Yet I have been privileged to travel the world, compete in two Sydney to Hobart Yacht races in my own yacht "Out of Sight, Out of Mind". I have also had a highly successful career primarily in Executive Search and Recruitment despite being totally blind. To me, life in the blind lane has meant living dreams and realising visions. My education emanated from experience and the university of life. My career focused on influencing the lives of many people. I was successful thanks to developing high level intangible services selling utilising sophisticated telephone selling, screening and interviewing techniques. These skills were developed over a number of years in radio and 30 years in executive recruitment. An interview by Linkedin on my life story drew an extraordinary response from people worldwide. It has influenced me to share my life story which owes much to the power and benefit of mindsight. I have chosen the professional speakers forum for this purpose.
