About David Hurd
From 1982 - 2015, I was involved in international finance with various investment banks: Merrill; Deutsche Bank & Smith New Court. During these years, I lived and worked in Chile, Brazil, USA, Hong Kong, China and Dubai. My Spanish is fluent; my Portuguese, less so and my Mandarin … a work in progress. I retired from DB (Hong Kong) in October 2015 and took a leave from international finance. In 2016, I started working for an educational NGO (Aziza's Place) in PP, Cambodia. In 2019, I joined the Advisory Board of a Nicaraguan, educational NGO (LEG) based in Grenada. Although the Advisory Board for LEG was dissolved in 2020, I continue to teach English to LEG students.
