About David Ings

I began my working career as a full-time High-school English teacher, I was 22 years old. After nearly 3 years I decided to see what the business world had to offer as I wanted to broaden my horizons. I was hired to open the Cape Town branch of a JHB-based packaging company which supplied Metro and Trade Centre at the time. I established the branch, employed staff and tripled the monthly turnover in the 2 years that I was there. I then decided to give my music career a chance and for 5 years played venues and festivals and was a finalist in the Shell Road to Fame. I opened my own music retail store and established a small school teaching kids to play guitar, drums, keyboard and bass. I was then offered an opportunity to open a branch of a JHB-based internet company in Nelspruit. I oversaw the establishment and running of the branch for 3 years. In 2010 I started my own vermiculture business which supplied bulk organic fertiliser to the Macadamia farmers in the Lowveld region. After 11 years in this business I have decided it is time to return to my first love, Education. I am in the process of seeking online education opportunities as I would like to be able to work remotely.
