About David Jackson

I set up independent consultancy operations during 1996 and developed a strong reputation for delivering results as a specialist in career management/ outplacement, executive fast track mentoring and performance coaching, group facilitating and client led HRM, HRD and OD assignments. I deploy hands-on experience coupled with up to date knowledge in career management, mentoring, coaching, personal development, and the application of psychometrics, management competence, team building and recruitment & selection methodologies. I supervise full-time and Distance Learning MSc Students with their dissertations at the School of Environment and Development (SED) and at the Manchester Business School (MBS), The University of Manchester. As leading/ co consultant, I engage in international HR assignments. In July 2008, I was invited by The University Manchester to lead a Manchester team on a Civil Service of Bangladesh top level reform, MATT2 programme, involving the design and delivery of a Stage 2 annual programme for 20 top civil servants from Bangladesh, making associated visits to Dhaka in 2008, 2009 & 2010. I have been modules convenor/Lecturer (Associate capacity since on full-time MSc courses in HRM, HRD and OCD, and Tutor/Learning Facilitator on MSc Distance Learning modules at The University of Manchester, School of Environment & Development (SED); and for a number of years was an Examination Board member. I was Director of the MSc HRD programme for 2004/05 & 2005/06 (Deputy Director 2006/07 & 2008/09). For a number of years, I held senior positions in BNFL, a ‘blue-chip’ company, with direct interface at Board level in HRM, HRD and OD.
