Position: Skilled Trades Group Leader Purpose: To proactively lead a team of Skilled Trades Professional in the Maintenance and Readiness of Facilities Systems and Operations Equipment by aggressive completion of Preventative Maintenance Schedules, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, upgrading or replacing faulty, inoperative, or discontinued components and parts, to be accomplished through the supervision of a highly trained and competent Tooling and Maintenance work force. Responsibilities: • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by exceeding approved standards and procedures; Insures departmental and facility compliance with all legal codes and regulations • Encourage and develop each members’ s highest potential for their personal success and that of the organizations. • Accomplish Skilled Trades goals and objectives by selecting, training, assigning scheduling, coaching and counseling members. • Clearly communicate job actions and expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions: • Providing honest and consistent job performance appraisal and job contribution feedback, compensation recommendations, and ensure members adherence to company policies, procedures, roles and responsibilities. • Meets Skilled Trades financial standard by providing annual budget information; monitors expenditures and identifies variances; implements corrective actions. • Vigorously maintains the functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated operations supportive equipment by implementing, repairing, rebuilding, upgrading or replacing faulty, inoperative, or discontinued components or parts. • Identifies and implements the improvement of equipment through the evaluation of equipment performance matrices. • Enthusiastically transfers knowledge and skills to all Skilled Trades members to inspire their ability to problem solve equipment issues as they arise.
