David Jungel is the president of Design Works, Inc. a full service, Chicago-based, interior design, architectural design, marketing and consulting firm. Under his direction, Design Works, Inc. has offered its clients comprehensive, professional analysis, marketing, planning and design for all types of investment real estate. Design Works, Inc. has been involved in thousands of commissions throughout the United States, Canada, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia and the Caribbean. Throughout his career, Jungel has received various awards and citations for his work. Included, among these are recognition’s from Lodging Hospitality, The Institute of Real Estate Management, The Construction Industry Development Board of Singapore, Night Club Magazine and the Institute of Business Designers, Baron’s Who’s Who in Interior Design, among others. His work and writings have appeared in various publications, including: Interior Design Magazine, Builder Magazine, Restaurant and Hotel Design, Night Club Magazine, Home Electronics, Restaurant Hospitality, Contract Magazine, Lodging and Hospitality, Crain’s Chicago Business, the Chicago Sun-Times, among others. Jungel has been a featured speaker at various real estate and hospitality related functions and seminars, worldwide. He has been an adjunct professor and has taught senior-level interior design and business practices at Mundelein College and the International Academy of Design in Chicago.
