About David Kapata

David M. Kapata is the Curriculum Development and Training Manager and Acting Programs Manager for Grassroot Soccer Zambia, he has over 8 years experience working with young people on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR, HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness strategies and children’s rights and their responsibilities. As the Curriculum Development and Training Manager/Acting Programs Manager for Grassroot Soccer Zambia he manages GRSZ programmes in the community on Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health, he also manages programmes on Prevention with Positives (PwP) for young people living with HIV. These duties have helped David realize the importance of early peer to peer HIV prevention education as a very important way of disseminating information to young people as they feel safe and are more comfortable to share their personal real life stories, challenges and all health related issues in a free and safe environment. David is skilled in public speaking, training of peer educators, management skills, communication skills and organizing events. David studied Development t Studies from the University of Zambia (UNZA) and acquired a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Development Studies-(Major) and Political Science-(Minor), he also has a Diploma in Social Work from the University of Zambia and holds a certificate in Project Management for Development Professionals. David is pursuing to further his education by doing a Masters in Political Science and International Relations during the 2020 June intake at the University of Lusaka.
