About David Karoly Ilyes

I began my career in 2015 as a technician at a small engineering company specializing in the design of custom machines for automotive suppliers. My initial responsibilities included part drawing, purchasing components, and machine assembly, which provided me with solid practical knowledge of machine design principles and manufacturing processes. After graduating in 2016, I continued at the same company as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Over the next two years, I focused on the design of subassemblies for manual and autonomous workstations. In 2018, I managed my first major project involving the robotization of a manual PCB assembly and testing line. Since then, I have successfully delivered increasingly complex projects, including high-voltage test equipment and end-of-line testers with multi-station rotary indexing tables. From 2019, I participated in international projects in France and China, where I gained valuable experience in equipment installation and on-site problem solving. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the company redirected its focus to domestic projects, and I continued to contribute to specialized machine development. Since 2022, I have worked as a co-designer of turret handler machines, where my responsibilities included the mechanical design of a high-speed AOI subturret and tray handling systems. In 2023, I broadened my professional experience by working as Regional Manager for Hungary’s largest e-bike rental company. This role provided valuable insights into customer service and operations management within the tourism industry. While this experience was highly rewarding, I have returned to my primary field of expertise: the design and development of special-purpose machines, where I continue to apply my technical knowledge and project experience.
