Background
About David Keniston
I started in the financial industry as a teller with a local bank. I then moved my career to a personal banker in an 'in-store' bank here in Champlin, at the Old Country Market (now Cub Foods). As years went on, I became branch manager, home mortgage associate and then financial advisor in 2013. All of my positions before 2013 had one thing in common; I was only able to help with one part of a financial strategy. Now as an Edward Jones financial advisor, I am able to help my clients with their complete financial strategy. By partnering with my clients, together we build personalized strategies that prepare them to meet their goals. We work through my established process, allowing clients to feel comfortable and confident even during times of uneasy market conditions. My goal is for clients to enjoy their retirement, not worry about the market. Originally from Brooklyn Park, I moved to Champlin in 2005. As part of this community, I have served on the board of the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce and am serving as president of the Champlin Lions. However, my most gratifying role is that of a husband and dad. My wife, Alex, and I have two adult children and two fur babies. In my free time, I enjoy golfing with my family, friends and clients. My wife and I enjoy catching the most recent movies on the big screen and food from food trucks. I serve a large variety of clients, but my average client is 10 years or fewer from retirement. They have four main questions about retirement. When can I retire? When will I take Social Security? How do I save money on taxes? What about healthcare in retirement? If these are questions that have been on your mind, and you'd like to discuss how they can or will impact you, please call my branch office administrator, Kari Ward. She has been my partner in the office since we opened the office in For instructions to opt out of Edward Jones commercial messaging and other important disclosures, see
