About David Kent

In 1995, David and his partner W.C. “Cece” Stricklin, opened Charleston’s first exclusive buyer’s agency. Steadfast and committed to buyer representation, this relatively new approach to the real estate business took flight. For over a decade, David and his team have been committed to providing the most comprehensive services for home buyers in the area. David brings to his business both extensive construction-industry experience and a genuine commitment to customer service. He has worked on many land development projects throughout the Charleston area. He has acted as both the President of his local Association of Realtors as well as President of the Charleston Trident Homebuilders Association. He has also acted as a director for the National Association of Realtors. David lives in Mt. Pleasant with his wife, Minou—a local school teacher—and their two daughters, Alexandra and Hanna. Elevating the Standards David is also committed to further education about buyer representation and elevating the standards within the real estate profession. This is one of the reasons he was selected as Realtor of the Year for the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors in 2008. He was also asked in 2009 to help update the National Association of Realtors- Buyer Accreditation course (ABR). A course he had taken himself back in 1998 to become an Accredited Buyer Agent. Since 2008 David has served on the advisory board for the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) of the National Association of Realtors and inducted into the REBAC Hall of Fame in 2010.
