I have extensive experience in the domain name space, having worked in this industry for 21 years Independent and creative, I am comfortable taking technical leadership where required. I prefer working in a collaborative environment and am familiar with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. In addition, I enjoy coaching and developing team members and believe that a positive and inclusive team dynamic is the most effective way to get work done. I particularly enjoy a role where I can sink my teeth into a thorny problem and solve it and have successfully implemented solutions that required reverse-engineering legacy code. I am an expert in the domain name eco-system protocol and transport language, EPP, which uses XML over SSL connections. I have extensive experience setting up DNS with DNSSEC zone signing and key management for both large (>1 million delegations) and small zones. I am also comfortable working with load balancers, routers and networking equipment, using BGP and OSPF for high-availability systems. I am comfortable with remote and office-based work environments and have experience running a remote software development team.
