About David Kirschner

Deciding to focus my career on emergency medicine and point-of-care ultrasound transformed my professional path in ways I could have never anticipated. Here’s what happened next: 2009 - 2014: Completed my residency and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Emergency Medicine. This laid the foundation for my career in advanced emergency care and ultrasound education. 2014 - 2018: Held multiple roles at the University of Manitoba, including Assistant Ultrasound Director and Coordinator for Continuing Education. My passion for point-of-care ultrasound flourished as I contributed to the development and delivery of training programs for both residents and attending staff. 2016 - Present: Became an online mentor and instructor at the Ultrasound Leadership Academy, where I've been guiding the next generation of physicians in the practical applications of ultrasound in emergency settings. 2019 - Present: Took on roles at Stollery Children’s Hospital and Sturgeon Community Hospital, focusing on emergency medicine and pediatrics. My experience with high-acuity cases enabled me to bring innovative ultrasound techniques to clinical practice. 2021 - Present: Joined Unlimited Medical Centres as Medical Director. Here, my vision expanded to building a multidisciplinary medical team that delivers top-notch patient care. My focus now is on expanding our team of physicians to continue elevating our standards in patient outcomes and service delivery. It’s been a fulfilling journey.
