About David Koestler

As a nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician at Chappaqua EMS, my expertise lies in providing critical care with a solid background in psychology and education from Wesleyan University. My role extends beyond medical interventions to encompass leadership and effective coordination in high-pressure scenarios. My experience as a Research Assistant at MindCORE and my ongoing academic pursuit underscore my commitment to understanding human behavior and education strategies. With a focus on developing minds, I am dedicated to contributing to the field of clinical child psychology. After graduating a semester early from Wesleyan University in December 2024, I began my post-bachelorette job at Brown University Health and Bradley Hasbro Research Center in association with Rhode Island Hospital in January 2025. As a Clinical Research Assistant at the Adolescent Risk Prevention Lab, I am involved in coordinating Project LIVE. This Project uses virtual reality as one of several measures to evaluate pre-teens emotional regulation skills during risky situations involving substance use and sexual activity. With Project LIVE, we hope to develop better prevention programs and measures to help at risk teens.
