About David Krych

David has served people who have sustained brain injuries and their families for over 35 years. In 1981 he co-founded the Centre for Neuro Skills, one of the earliest programs in the US that focused on people who had sustained brain injury and their needs post hospital. He left CNS in and entertained a variety of interests and reentered the field of TBI rehabilitation in 2005 when he joined the executive team at ReMed recovery Care Centers. David continued to serve on the executive team at ReMed Recovery Care Centers until his retirement in December of 2017. ReMed, is a post acute brain Injury program with residential and OP/ Home and community settings in PA, NJ, MD, CA, NC and LA. ReMed serves individuals across the TBI spectrum from Mild to Severe with behavioral, medically complex conditions as well as a co-morbidity of alcohol and drug addiction. He has co-edited and contributed to books and articles on brain injury and has presented extensively, nationally and abroad on numerous topics associated with TBI. He was recently named FELLOW of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine in 2015 and other honors include; Distinguished Alumni Award from Southern Illinois University; Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities Special Contribution Recognition; Life Time Achievement Award from the Brain Injury Special Interest Group of the ACRM and the Pioneer in Brain Injury Rehabilitation Award from the Pennsylvania Brain Injury Association. Although he is retired he continues to support both the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and the the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
