About David Kuffel

I am a highly skilled and strategic professional, with over 20 years of experience in the travel industry. 17 years have been dedicated to corporate travel, corporate card and expense management, with additional management oversight in meetings and events and fleet vehicle management. I also was part of the Procurement Department at one of the companies I worked for, so worked on other contract duties, beyond my core responsibilities. Prior to this, I had spent over a decade in successful leadership in operations and account management with global travel management companies, managing travel programs for multiple companies from a spectrum of industries. I am a respected industry leader who has a history of building strategic partnerships with internal teams and external vendors to create value driven programs that are both cost effective and value rich. I am a thoughtful leader, who is an innovative thinker and passionate negotiator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. I am able to work with all levels of management, building consensus to reach strategic goals of cost containment, effective risk management, consolidated data and traveler satisfaction. I have built an excellent network of industry leaders to call upon for advice, bench-marking and new program opportunities. Since I have managed programs for new organizations, as well as very established organizations, I have the experience to provide leading edge programs for all levels of corporate programs, including global program consolidation. I also spent 6 years serving on the board of the GBTA, Bay Area Business Travel Association, successfully leading the association’s programs and events, as well as serving as president of the organization for just over 2 years.
