About David Kum

I have a very wide variety of experiences and skills, that I can adapt to many situations. Being "mission oriented" I put everything I have into endeavors of which I'm involved. Always willing to help, to make things better, and to learn. I am currently employed with New Flyer of America, at the Jamestown NY facility As an Electrical Assembly Technician having built items such as Instrument clusters and switch box assemblies, to side consol and wire harnesses. Prior to the above,I have been employed as an in house Landman with Empire Energy E&P LLC. Previously a Quality Technician at Truck-Lite, a company that specializes in heavy truck/trailer components such as mirrors, lighting modules, and most recently, LED forward lighting Prior to that, I had a contract land agent business in the oil and gas industry; where much of my time was spent traveling in the field, locating and meeting with land owners to negotiate gas lease contracts, and to answer their questions and explain the process involving the land they own. It was work I found challenging and enjoyable.Before the above I was employed with Jamestown Aviation Company,an FBO for 8 years as Flightline Manager. Where I used my experience from the USAF to create and maintain a safe efficient environment. I was responsible for management and training of personnel, developing and implementing training programs, all fueling operations for the airport, quality control, and maintenance on fueling equipment, as well as customer service for private and corporate customers. I have also proudly served in the Unites States Air Force (USAF), I was an Honor Graduate of the Environmental Systems Technician course. Systems included: aircraft electrical, heating/cooling, pressurization, oxygen and fire systems. I was able to acquire experience on other systems as well. So I also have training certificates in fuels, and hydraulics, on such aircraft as the C-23a, C-141, and C-5. My range of experience, also include auto mechanics, machine shop work, electronic assembly, aviation maintenance and inspection, parts department, event operations and management. I am a highly motivated problem solver who can get things done.
