About David Kumar

I am a sixth-year student at Western Law and the Ivey Business School in the HBA/JD dual-degree program. I completed my first two years in Western's Business Management and Organizational Studies program with an Honors Specialization in Finance, one year in the HBA program, and am now completing my final year in the combined HBA/JD program. Outside of academics, I love community building and student engagement. This year, I am volunteering as a 3L buddy to two incoming 1L students, while last year I volunteered as a JP (upper-year mentor) alongside 3 other JPs to help a group of roughly 25 1L students with their transition into law school. In my fourth-year, I was a Residence Don at Ontario Hall and, the year prior to that, the Head Soph of the Essex Hall and London Hall residences. Much of my time is also dedicated to athletics. I spent five years on Western's Varsity Wrestling team and I have just started training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I attribute much of my work ethic, commitment, and time management skills to these experiences. Being a part of a strong culture and community is a long-term goal of mine, and I would love to see my work have a real impact. Looking ahead, I am thrilled at the opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills in the business/legal world and to further develop myself as a young professional.
