Interdisciplinary urbanist educator, researcher, author, and practitioner interested in multiple intersections of leadership development, faith & spirituality, urban geography, housing & economic justice, and community development. I'm a curious researcher and praxis-oriented teacher seeking whole communities, thriving neighborhoods, and places where genuine socioeconomic diversity can flourish. As a third-generation Asian American, I'm especially interested in serving AAPI+ & BIPOC communities. Experience & Expertise:* 15+ years in higher education as a tenured professor in theology, urban studies, and cultural studies * 10 years of experience in community development + arts & culture-related board service and non-profit leadership * 3+ years of grant-funded research and program design in leadership development, urban ministry, and theological education (~$200K)* 12+ authored books, peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and other publications w/ InterVarsity Press, American Society of Missiology, Christianity Today, Sojourners, and more.* 4 years of experience in project-managing community-oriented residential real estate development * Additional background in information technology.
