About David Lipschutz

I have a range of experience in community mental health clinics, private practice, and public schools. My integrative approach (psychodynamic, mentalization, and attachment-based therapy) forms the basis to help develop a greater sense of self-worth, perspective, and well-being. Trained in child and adolescent psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute, and currently, a candidate in the adult psychoanalytic program at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis & Psychotherapy. My interests and expertise include the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety/panic, trauma, divorce/separation, chronic pain, addictions, social media usage, and grief/loss. I work with children, teens, adults, and families to assist in developing an understanding of one’s inner life and to cultivate growth.
