SEE UPDATE BELOW COVER PHOTO: Mount Rainier and the Cascade range. I am a Disabled Nature Photographer specializing in the photography of birds. I also have an interest in the movement of water, and nature in general. The Disabled status just recently came about and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.(*5+ years ago they took me I'd never walk again. well I have proven them wrong. They were actually partially right as I can't hike up mountains anymore but I can get around pretty good although I pay for it at night however this is totally acceptable compromise. The wheelchairs are in storage just in case). I have a blog that is directed to the bird photographer with tips on shooting birds, as well as a detailed description of how 'I' shoot. Manual is scary, but I attempt to calm the mind and walk you thru the steps to capture images with full control of your camera. Some of my nature photography as well as links to my blogs can be seen below.*UPDATE* back in 2021 I moved to the Pacific Northwest. It is the most amazing place for a nature photog; as of this date {June 2023) am still just scratching the surface. I am not backpacking through the mountains anymore nor am I heading out in the trails very far alone. I now reside in Auburn, Washington and am hoping to find someone that enjoys bird photography as well. never a good idea to head out into a trail alone especially around here. Also make sure you have some good self-defense equipment. JUST IN CASE as I would never want to kill a bear or mountain lion however if it's me or him, well, I'll be the one walking away.
