Senior Executive with more than 30 years of highly successful, diversified experience in real estate development, that encompasses site acquisition, pre-construction concept planning, government project approval, construction supervision and asset management. Currently the Director of Public Projects for one of the leading commercial developers in Florida, and instrumental in initiating and starting-up the Public Development Division, which exceeded the 1st year goal, 17 years ago, of $50 million with more than $1 Billion collectively to date. Developed strong working relationships with community redevelopment agencies, city and county commissioners, district taxing boards and other government agencies, to present proposals and obtain acceptance. Also, effectively created positive public relations for community approval. Acquired extensive new business in the educational and public projects sector. Technical expertise in all areas of construction management, working with architects and engineers on initial design and concept, through all phases of “critical path” development, to final C.O. and occupancy, with ability to deliver quality assurance, as well as monitor compliance with design specs. Prior background encompasses facility and property management of the Orlando Utilities Commission, a top 5 rated city-owned Utility in the U.S. Additionally, managed property and facilities of the Orange County Public Schools, the 6th largest school district in the U.S, with more than 12 million sq. ft. of school and office facilities, with accompanying sports facilities, transportation compounds, warehouse and shop facilities. Total responsibility for management of all areas of operation, as well as the effective utilization of human resources (529 employees) to establish and achieve company objectives.
