Hi, my name is David M. Halbert Jr. I am currently an Advertising Sales Planner (Media Planner) for Hallmark Media. Before Hallmark, I was an Advertising Sales Assistant for AMC Networks and I was also an Account Coordinator at JConnelly Public Relations. I have achieved a Master of Science from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Public Relations with a focus in financial and corporate communications. Additionally, I dual-majored, and achieved my Bachelor of Arts from Rowan University's Ric Edelman College of Communication and Creative Arts in Public Relations and Advertising. I have a wide range of professional experience, while being a graduate student, I was rewarded two job opportunities while being a full-time student. I worked as a Research Assistant for one of Syracuse's up and coming professors, we focused on crisis communication and whistleblowing. While assisting in the development of a research paper, I studied and analyzed many case studies. Additionally, I was also a Communication Intern/Assistant for the U.S. Department of Clean Energy in Syracuse, NY. I was part of the Clean Cities Coalition program and assisted in project management, meeting planning, case studying, and developing a final presentation. Both of these experiences provided me with the opportunity to further develop and enhance my knowledge of both industries. While I was at Rowan University, I was a part-time employee for the Office of Student Affairs as a Strategic Planning and Management Intern. While in the position, I further researched information about Rowan University, assisted in project development, helped develop/attend meetings, and even developed a university-based project focused on developing DE & I initiatives. Throughout my brief start to my career, I have been able to grow a great work-ethic, further enhance my organizational skills, developed the ability to learn new systems/services rapidly, and further enhance my client communication skills.
