About David Madsen

Throughout my career and the roles I have had in SaaS technology and financial services, four elements have contributed to my continued success: A natural curiosity for how to improve the business, a willingness to go above and beyond, a knack for building trust-based relationships, and a strong understanding of the value of teamwork. MY VALUE PROPOSITION: Strategic Thinking: I am known for assessing the current state, identifying gaps, providing recommendations and implementing changes that improve processes and reporting. Communications Skills: I develop narratives used to clearly communicate business performance to senior leadership, investors, and colleagues in both written and oral form. Cross-functional Collaboration: By working closely with GTM, R&D and G&A teams, I architect new financial models and processes that address gaps and deliver results. Analytical Ability: To me, problem solving means identifying the problem, understanding its root cause, considering the impact of all potential solutions, choosing the best path to take, and gaining buy-in from all involved stakeholders before moving forward with implementation. Relationship Building: I enjoy developing and maintaining strong relationships with diverse groups of people by being empathetic to all concerns, collaborating (versus dictating), and being open to new ideas.
