Raised in a family where playing music was as natural as breathing, David Maldonado’s early influences encompassed a broad range of Spanish Classical music. At only 8 years old, David was already an accomplished violinist, immersed in the world of Bach and Mozart. As time went on, the guitar felt more natural and at the age 14, David was performing classical guitar concerts and began to study under the Royal Family of the Classical Guitar. David has toured the world, recorded parts for movies in Hollywood, composed two original Symphonys and has sold out theaters in major US cities. However, David is now favoring small intimate venues where he tells explains the meaning of each song. His music reflects the beauty and structure inherent in traditional classical composition, at the same time bringing forth the passion, upbeat rhythms and fascinating gypsy scales of Flamenco.
