About David Marino
I am a hard working and highly motivated college graduate with a good eye for detail and can work both independently and in a team. I am keen to begin a career in microbiology, in QC or a similar role. I am a science graduate, graduating with a BSc in microbiology level 8 (hons). I have a broad knowledge of microbiology as well as excellent aseptic technique and laboratory etiquette. I have acquired some key research skills including (but not limited to) GCMS, NMR, HPLC and separation techniques. My undergraduate project focused on the microbial degradation of fluorinated organic compounds so a large proportion of my project consisted of mapping various metabolic pathways as well as developing suitable culture media recipes and using various culturing techniques. I hope to work in a laboratory environment where I can put my skills to good use.
