About David Marple

My passion for dentistry stems from the connections I am able to make with my patients. I take great pride in the fact that I get to help people become healthier, improve their appearance, get out of pain and gain more self-confidence. This privilege is what drives me to provide the best and most comfortable conscious dentistry possible. I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York and received my B.S. in Biology from West Virginia University. From there I went back home and received my D.D.S. from University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. In dental school, I was recognized on the Dean’s list all four years and graduated with a concentration in esthetic/cosmetic dentistry. After that I chose to advance my skills further by completing a General Practice Residency at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. During residency I was apart of the hospitals head and neck trauma team and performed advanced procedures including as endodontic retreatments, implant placement (including sinus lift), full mouth reconstructions and dental sleep medicine. I am currently in the National Health Service Corps and provide dental care to the underserved population of South Carolina. Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and our rambunctious English bulldog. Whether it be walking the beaches or heading out on our paddleboards, we love everything Charleston has to offer and cannot imagine calling anywhere else home.
