About David Matalik

Hi! I'm David, a conscientious Web Developer with great awareness, loving to create modern React Apps. I ensure code quality through having automatic linters and writing tests. I strive daily to get better at coding and grow personally. It's absolutely fulfilling for me to help other's to improve their coding skills, e.g. as a Mentor on exercism or as a colleague at work. Currently I am working as a fullstack developer at the sustainable energy company Lumenaza. The main focus at work is the React Frontends and at times also Django backend tasks. In my freetime I constantly am improving my Backend Node developer skills with help of the Odin Project. What does conscientious awareness mean? I pick my projects/company on how beneficial their impact is - either on social or environmental respect. When working on a project I make sure to find the middle path between high code quality and fast delivery. My aware communication with others, helps to overcome challenging project phases and figure out alternative ways to go. Fun fact: Experimenting nature - I tried eating kiwis with their skin and continued with that. It's like eating apples with their skin - you barely notice the skin. I also tried eating bananas with their skin - here you notice the skin more and I only do it from time to time. xD
