About David Matthews

Over the course of my career, I have successfully managed and closed several real estate deals that other people have said could not be done. My focus is mainly on large, complex headquarters assignments throughout the US. I oversee a team of partners in each market and subject matter experts needed to complete each project. Over two plus decades, I’m proud of having completed some of the largest corporate real estate deals in Chicago history, now applying the same skills and leadership to the South Florida market. Working closely with our world-class, multi-disciplined teams, I’ve managed many deals for the travel and hospitality industries. These projects include work on behalf of Hyatt, Spirit Airlines, Element Fleet Management, and the largest relocation of a headquarters into the City of Chicago ever with of United Airlines, involving more than people and comprised of more than square feet. Often, these deals start from scratch. For my clients, I seek to become a true partner with the business and leadership, working collaboratively to investigate and develop comprehensive analyses of financial and analytical issues. Staying close to all the information from the start gives me broad insight to ensure I deliver to the client an outcome that exceeds expectations. I attribute my success, which includes several award-winning deals, to be the result of tapping the creativity and innovative solutions that have evolved over my years in the industry. I've built strong, personal relationships with some very smart people on the client side and have earned their trust. In every case, I have leveraged the extensive resources of the JLL global platform. Dedicated as I am to my clients, when not working, my time and focus are spent on my children and supporting my community.
