About David Mauney

The Hunter Group, LLC was developed in 2008 in part from the growth of both renewable energy technologies and market interest in renewable portfolio standards. The Principal, Mr. David H. Mauney IV had already been instrumental in developing several renewable energy projects that included both electric power generation and renewable natural gas (RNG). His unique background in developing renewable energy projects both domestically and internationally set the stage for The Hunter Groups future. In 2010, The U.S. EPA Landfill Methane Outreach Program (LMOP) Awarded Republic Services, Inc, UFR Corporation, Newton County, Indiana and The Hunter Group with the Project of the Year Award for the Newton County LFGTE project. In 2009 The Hunter Group began project management, development and design/build contracting for a new renewable natural gas plant for private owners of the largest landfill in Louisiana. That plant came online in 2010 and today The Hunter Group continues to support this facility which has grown to be the 3rd largest supplier of RNG in the country. The Hunter Group, LLC developed Tennessee Renewable Group a hybrid producer of RNG and Renewable Electricity. The Hunter Group is the parent to RNGA Energy Group a Louisiana based Renewable Natural Gas Attribute trading company. Mr. Mauney served on numerous boards such as the Solid Waste Association of America SWANA landfill gas utilization committee as the vice chair for High BTU Gas (RNG) In addition to work with SWANA Mr. Mauney is a member of the Coalition of Renewable Natural Gas works with its committee for legislative and regulatory support of the U.S. EPA Renewable Fuel Standard.
