About David McCubbins

I am a senior Electrical Engineering student at the University of Kentucky, with a minor in Mathematics, a certificate in electromagnetics, and a graduation date of May 2025. I have hands-on experience in designing and implementing electrical systems through roles such as Electrical Engineering Co-Op at CMTA, where I contributed to the development of electrical layouts and schematics. Also on the KRUPS team through the design of a digital logic system that integrated with the flight controller for better functionality. I currently lead automation and flight control efforts for the UK AUVSI drone project, overseeing subsystem integration to improve operational efficiency. Additionally, my time as a Senior Transmission Systems Operator in the Army National Guard has honed my skills in satellite and radio communications, IT infrastructure enhancement, and network management. I am proficient in C++ and MATLAB—with a paper on signal processing techniques in the process of publication. I also have hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi and Arduino, and I am skilled in CAD software such as Creo, AutoCAD, and Revit. I am passionate about solving complex engineering problems and thrive in both technical and leadership roles. I have interests in all things space, communications, electromagnetics,and general electrical principles.
