As CEO of Naomh Breandan Credit Union, based in Loughrea, Co. Galway, I work closely with our team, members, and stakeholders to navigate ongoing change and disruption—while staying focused on what matters most: delivering meaningful impact for our community. Our vision, “Together building a better tomorrow for our community”, is more than a statement, it’s the foundation of how we lead, serve, and grow. It’s guided by values that are central to everything we do: Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, Leadership, Excellence, and Family. I’m passionate about the role credit unions play in creating sustainable, member-first financial services. I advocate for a culture where our team thrives and feels empowered, because I believe that strong internal culture translates directly into stronger service and community impact. As a Steering Committee member of the CU Alliance (CUSA), I collaborate with credit unions across the country to embed sustainability, social impact, and long-term relevance into how credit unions operate, locally and nationally. Our collective goal is to strengthen the credit union difference through shared collaboration.
