About David McNeill

David is a highly skilled leader with experience of working across sectors, with a strong track record of developing partnerships, creating new projects, generating income and improving services to increase their impact on people and communities. He has particular expertise in working with stakeholders to understand needs, identify problems and develop solutions, both at an operational and strategic level. David is an experienced senior manager and trustee, and has worked with Boards to implement major change programmes. He is strongly values driven and passionate about tackling inequality, having been involved in the voluntary sector from the age of 15. Equally comfortable providing constructive challenge to Government in Ministerial Working Groups as volunteering in a local community project, David is a highly effective communicator who can adapt his approach and style to suit any audience. His approach to people management is as a mentor, working with individuals and teams to explore their potential, support their development and maximise results. David likes to lead by example, modelling the attitude and behaviours that create a positive working environment to allow people to perform at their best. Trusting and empowering staff, giving them autonomy with the appropriate support, is key to his approach.
