About David Medina

I am a practicing pharmacist with 27 years of experience. I am a Long Island resident. In these years of practice I have been in retail, Home Infusion, Nursing Home settings. I have focused most of my later career to Home Infusion. Over the last 6 years I have become steadily more and more involved with deeper operational issues in pharmacy. I became Board Certified in Sterile Compounding Pharmacy in 2024. I have become a leader at my institution becoming the point of contact for legal questions, operational matters, Billing, and staff training. I have now gone through and passed JCAHO's updated survey process that incorporated the updated USP Standards. I am now involved with learning, reviewing and implementing policies and procedures for URAC Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation. As another evolution on my career I have become involved with the Pharmacists Society of NY as a member of the Long Affiliate Board. I have also completed a live CE credit program in April of 2025 with more public speaking events to come. I have a passion for learning, research, and teaching. It has helped me to become a critical leader and component to have in an organization
