About David Merrell

My love of writing started at an early age. In elementary school, a paper I wrote on a penny drive the school was having got me featured in the local paper. By high school, my English said my writing had a great flow and that I could major in English, but she wouldn't recommend it because there wasn't enough money in the field. By this time I had already started my digital career, creating websites in the late 90s to early My early career culminated in writing a piece for Pojo magazine as a teenager. I never stopped writing, though my career trek took me to different places. I worked in restaurant management for a few years and ultimately opened my own restaurant in 2010. Though I still love the restaurant industry, I lost my desire to work in it. I instead went back to writing, starting with a food blog to channel my love of cooking. David's Prep Station got me back into the swing of things, brushing up my SEO, copywriting, graphic design, and even video editing skills. I also ran a local news blog which helped sharpen my research and technical writing skills. The work on David's Prep Station inspired me to go all-in on digital content creation. My next project was starting MerElite Digital as a platform to offer my services to local and remote clients.With remote work exploding due to the pandemic, I now offer my content writing skills to clients all over the world.
