About David Milbourn
Vanitec is the Vanadium International Technical Committee, a global organisation supported by the vanadium industry and other companies with an interest in the technology of vanadium, with the purpose of increasing global vanadium consumption. I lead Vanitec on behalf of the members. My primary role is to encourage, identify and support ongoing research, development and dissemination of relevant technology relating to the use of vanadium in steel, titanium and chemical applications. Most of this activity is of a collaborative nature and involves many international partners, especially from academia and user industries. It is therefore essential that I maintain a wide network of technical experts who can support our efforts and also benefit from the results of Vanitec supported projects. I'm also responsible for developing the Vanitec organisation, by encouraging vanadium producers and others with an interest in vanadium to join as members, thereby providing additional expertise and funding to improve our effectiveness.
