Every executive at every industrial company on the planet does not want to spend a dime. Don’t get me wrong, they will all invest millions but they do not want to spend anything. The vast majority of the plant/field operators, supervisors and managers all want to improve production. It’s natural to want to succeed in what you do and at most companies they have been incentivized to improve operations. I have had engineering and executive titles in my career and I understand the balance between economic investment and operational functionality. Thirty years ago I started out as a field engineer wearing steel toed boots and a hardhat every day. I still own two pair of steel toed footwear and have a well-worn hardhat with lots of stickers on it. I learned early on that you cannot implement a process control system without getting the field/plant personnel’s input, buy in and support. I have worked on numerous automation projects from the design phase though startup and I understand that management and process engineers need big data to perform analytics and analyze trends. I also understand that operators cannot be buried with big data. They need actionable information to keep the process running to avoid costly shutdowns. As we all know everyone must be absolutely confident that the process safety system is continuously working to keep personnel and the equipment safe, while not causing nuisance outages nor being hard or expensive to maintain. I am a Professional Engineer with 30 years’ experience in Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation. I consider myself an expert in Digital Oilfield applications and I have experience in Power Generation and Manufacturing applications. I am a proven team leader and project manager. I can deliver Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) applications that safely automate your process and provide strong economic returns on your investment.
