About David Moores

I am a Chartered Landscape Architect, specialising in streetscape and urban design including project management, for both local government and private clients. I joined PJA in 2020 and my core interest is streetscape design, urban placemaking and landscape planting in the urban environment as well as hard material detailing. As a designer, I have extensive experience in streetscape design and the interface with traffic and highway engineering from sketch proposals to implementation. He has considerable working knowledge of urban lighting and cycle infrastructure schemes and the interface between these disciplines and streetscape design for pedestrians. I combines this knowledge with landscape planting skills to create innovative proposals that work in terms of both aesthetic and functional place-making. I am able to work at multiple scales and his work has ranged from leading city-wide landscape design to award winning town centre streetscapes, along with urban parks and green infrastructure projects. I enjoy managed multi-disciplinary design teams for large scale public realm projects from concept design to construction, including stakeholder engagement and public consultation and was responsible for five award winning streetscape designs and a landscape Institute finalist 2019 for Urban park design.
