About David Muncaster

Quality, Safety and Sustainability. For an organization, these can be hard to come by but are vitally important to keep. My job: make them easy to implement, easy to audit, easy to understand, easy to learn and, most important of all, easy for a customer to recognize! Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a keen focus on quality, continual improvement & responsiveness to customer service. My years of experience have been augmented by my education at BCIT in Quality/Operations Management and training in Lean Six Sigma to be an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Also, I am a certified COR Health and Safety Internal Auditor. Having a wide fluency in the fields of lean six sigma tools, quality, safety and employee engagement allows me to bring experience and knowledge to any situation. I have a deep understanding of ISO 9001 and 14001 – including successfully implementing the programs and passing external audits. I have refined Health & Safety programs across Canada to attain COR registration in Alberta, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. At the end of 2016, I completed my time as Chair of the ASQ Vancouver Section 408. In the role since 2012, we've seen improvements in membership, increased attendance at our monthly programs and strong fiscal health. In 2014, I developed and spearheaded the creation of our annual ASQ Vancouver Quality Conference that includes 13 speakers and established the Quality and Business Excellence award for a local business. This yearly event continues today. Recently, I have become a part-time instructor for Operations/Quality Management courses at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). My keen desire to ensure progressive quality management tempered with safety while growing the bottom line is what I feel sets me apart from the rest of the pack.
