About David Odoherty
DAVD O’DOHERTY VIOLINIST David O’Doherty studied with Ronald Masin at the DIT Conservatory of Music, Dublin and received his B.Mus. Performance Degree in 1996. In he received his ‘Premier Prix de Virtuosite’ from the Conservatoire of Lausanne, Switzerland where he studied with Pierre Amoyal and Jean Jaquerod. David is a co-founder of the Paderewski Trio in Switzerland and the Byron String Quartet currently based in France with whom he graduated from the class of Gabor Takacs-Nagy at the Geneva Conservatory and is now both in the Pro-Quartet scheme for the development and promotion of professional ensembles and in the class of the Ysaye Quartet in Paris. David is also co-founder of the Reflecting Strings Harp Trio in Ireland with whom he has released three cds and given numerous recitals around Ireland. Now a lecturer at the D.I.T conservatory of music in Dublin, he shares his time between solo performances and giving chamber recitals throughout Europe.
