My experience in entomology and forest health is driven by a genuine love of solving problems and being able to propose solutions. I have worked in many different areas of forest health, from being on the front lines of battles against invasive insects, working in one of the most diverse deciduous temperate forests in the world, and dealing with urban situations where abiotic conditions are often the source of the problem. I have been able to work with organizations on a larger scale, down to individual homeowners and the problems they face. In this process, I have gained not only more knowledge about insect pests but also other problems and intricacies that people often face. I am driven by a desire to better understand pests and be able to propose solutions to both homeowners and organizations.
