About David Oriordan

Entrepreneurial business leader with over 15 years’ experience in the infrastructure, power, and mechanical/electrical engineering sectors across Australia, the US, and Europe. I bring a unique blend of industry insight, commercial acumen, and entrepreneurial drive—backed by hands-on leadership in both startup and multinational environments. As Founder and Director of RSGx Australia, I have been instrumental in building a national engineering and construction company both organically and through acquisition, growing it in its first 6 years, to $240M+ in turnover with over employees. Through my leadership and guidance, RSGx became one of Australia’s fastest-growing companies (AFR Fast 100 #49, FY24), and delivered services across mission-critical infrastructure and utility networks. My background spans the full business lifecycle—from strategy and tendering to back-office functions and post-project optimisation. I have led M&A activities and integrations, negotiated complex commercial contracts including JV agreements (incorporated and unincorporated), MOU’s, teaming agreements, commercial contracts with various models (lump Sum, schedule of rates, alliance, time and materials), leases, employment contracts, EBA’s, supplier agreements and subcontracts, and designed and implemented scalable internal systems including ISO 27001-certified IT environments and enterprise reporting frameworks. Previously, I held senior operational and commercial roles with leading electrical businesses driving line expansion, cost-reduction initiatives, and system integrations on major Oil & Gas and infrastructure projects. My work has consistently resulted in revenue growth, operational efficiency, and high-performance team outcomes. With a Master’s in Business Management and a Degree in Information & Communications Technology, I bridge the gap between operations and business leadership—delivering results through honesty, integrity, caring and strong, values-based leadership.
