Extensive database administration experience (backup, recovery, replication, mirroring, compression, partitioning, performance tuning optimization) as well as database development experience (stored procedures, views, triggers, functions, DDL, DML, Agile/Scrum). Experience working in a variety of industries (financial, energy, manufacturing), most recently 8 years in Software as a Service companies.* Operational DBA – Over 15 years as a SQL Server DBA involved in all aspects of database administration: backup & recovery, clustering, security, automating tasks, migration, mirroring, log shipping, troubleshooting, migration, replication, index maintenance. SQL Server 2016, 2014, 2008R2 * SQL Development – Over 15 years in T-SQL development creating stored procs, views, triggers, functions, DDL, DML with 5 of those years in Agile/Scrum.* Performance Tuning Optimization – Adept at utilizing internal (perfmon, SQL profiler, extended events, DMV’s) and external tools (SentryOne, Idera, Quest, Redgate).* Database Architect – Deep understanding of both physical and logical design.* Teamwork – Collaborates well with distributed teams of software engineers & other SQL developers having come from a development background.
