About David Palin

I am the author of several novels, dark psychological thrillers, the publication of which has led to interviews on BBC Radio and in the local media. In addition to this, I set up and run regular creative writing workshops, which have lit the fire for several participants, and have created two screenplays. I am intrigued by the things that hide in the shadows beyond the light of our everyday lives. Whatever it might mean for each individual, we are not alone. Duality and co-existence, darkness and light, may be simply the products of our own minds, but not knowing is half the fun. As a fluent German speaker and having studied German literature, I believe we are drawn to darker tales, and one of mine, The Half-Torn Page, certainly doffs its cap to The Grimm Brothers, though at the end of the day, even those novels of mine which step across, at times, into parallel worlds, are always about the interactions mankind, whether good, bad, or horrifying.
