About David Peace

I most recently worked as an ISSA/QIDP/Service Coodinator for DayOne PACT. I work with agencies from Will, Kendal, Grundy, Cook, DuPage and Kane Counties to best design and create Person Centered Plans that can be used to bring the best services to the people that we support. Using the trainings provided by the state of Illinois and by DayOne PACT, I was able to work with individuals on my caseload to develop the best personal plans as the client was able to decide. I previously worked at Ray Graham Association for Persons with Disabilities. I held the title of Life Skills Instructor for Monarch II program in Naperville Illinois. At this position I work with adults with autism assisting them to improve their life skills, fine motor skills, and sensory recognition. I work with staff to improve the quality of life achievable for all of the people supported by our programs. I have worked on teams at RGA that have helped us to achieve the highest rating from Council for Quality Leadership. I have worked with the safety teams, and have helped promote individual rights for all the people supported. While I was working at Lutherbrook Academy. I worked with adolescent youth at risk and help them work towards their goals of independence and graduation from the program into living programs. I was a Therapeutic Recreation student from Southern Illinois University interning at Tri County Special Recreation Association, which provides recreational opportunities to persons with disabilities. My overall goal from my future career path is to provide proper recreational programs to all persons with disabilities of both physical and mental capacity. On May 10th 2014 I graduated from Southen Illinois University Carbondale in Therapeutic Recreation and obtained my Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist credentials on May 15th 2014
