About David Pearce

I grew up in Pietermaritzburg, Kwa-Zulu Natal, where I developed a love for adventure sports, outdoor living and the environment. I have a passion for sustainable and renewable sources as well as waste management. I believe these industries have huge potential in today’s world due to the concerns of sustainability and the environment. I am a focused individual and I like to set myself realistic goals which I work hard to achieve for. With a combination of creativity and curiosity, I see myself as a practical and logically inclined person. Maintaining a well-balanced life style in terms of academics, health and social aspects is important to me. I was involved in the service industry before attending my tertiary studies at Stellenbosch University. Such experience has allowed me to develop interpersonal skills which continued through my time at Stellenbosch, through my involvement in the canoeing club and the many allocated team projects. Gaining further experience in projects in Saudi Arabia and Dubai allowed me to work closely with my peers whilst supporting the team ultimately developing time management and organisational skills, which I consider important in life, particularly in the work environment.
