GPS develops and executes the firm's operating strategy for partnering with custodial, accounting agent, and transfer agent providers. The team works closely with product and client channels to derive long-term strategies with global service providers, determines optimal operating models, oversees contractual and service governance, as well as managing the selection and review of providers when necessary.David leads and coordinates key provider selection activity globally, incorporating RfI/RfP production, due diligence, working/steerco management and contract & fee negotiation. In addition, David also supports the BAU relationship management with large post-trade providers, including issue escalation, governance meetings, commercial negotiations and performance monitoring. David previously worked for Mercer, where he was a consultant specialising in investment operations in the specialist Mercer Sentinel team. David had been with Mercer for 9 years, departing as Head of Custody Consulting for the EMEA region. In his role, David advised a wide range of clients from pension funds to investment managers on the selection, review and monitoring of securities servicing providers, as well as a wide range of other operational areas such as FX, securities lending and governance matters.
