About David Phillips

Having spent 10+ years working in behavioral health and psychiatry clinics, I have learned the importance of balancing compassion, safety and compliance within the healthcare environment. As I progressed into leadership roles in my career, I never forgot what it was like to work with patients, providing hands-on care and managing all the required documentation and paperwork. As I prepare to transition out of the Army and focus on a career in healthcare leadership, I am confident that my combination of hands-on patient care and leadership experience will enable me to add immediate value. As a leader who has overseen up to 450 personnel, I am dedicated to mentoring, training and preparing my teams to be able to handle most any situation. I have found that through introducing standardized training programs and clarifying expectations, my teams have increased their readiness to as high as 95%+ and increased our ability to respond to emergency situations. I consider myself an expert relationship builder and networker who can build internal and external relationships that expedite support services and pave the way for partnerships that increase responsiveness and ultimately benefit the healthcare beneficiary. As a transitioning service member I am prepared to bring my US Army career to a close in May of 2021 and will be relocating to Chicago, IL, I am looking for healthcare leadership roles where I can positively impact patient care and enhance operational efficiencies and standardizations.
